There’s a new trailer for Lifetime’s wedding rom-com, starring Jill Scott, Regina Hall and Eve! It’s going to be sooo dramatic.

Getting married is a major life goal for many people, but the story in “With This Ring” takes that to a questionable extreme. The story starts out with three friends–Viviane, Amaya and Trista (played by Jill, Eve and Regina respectively)–who decide to make a pact that they’ll all get married within a year while attending their good friend’s New Year’s Eve wedding. Online dating horrors, vibrator jokes and terrible ideas ensue.

Viviane is hoping that her babydaddy will pop the question so they can be a family. Trista is stuck on her ex-beau, who had an extreme aversion to commitment. Meanwhile, Amaya is plotting a way to get her boyfriend out of his unhappy marriage so that they can jump the broom. Each and every one of these women would be way better off moving on to new men and starting fresh.

While we love all of the actresses in this project, it’s a little off-putting that one of the main characters is a woman that’s trying to break up someone else’s marriage so that she can get hitched. Did we really need that dose of trifilin’? Prbably not, but we can always hope that she’ll find an available single man for herself.

Audiences will simply have to see how that story line (and all of the others) resolve themselves when “With This Ring” debuts January 24 on Lifetime!
