The Carters Debut Short Film

Now that’s good PR!

Just a month ago, it was rumored that Jay Z and Beyonce were on the brink of divorce, now the happy couple are allegedly expecting baby number two and back to robbing banks…or whatever crime spree they’re emulating during the “On The Run” tour.

Jay and Bey released, “Bang Bang,” the first clip of a trilogy directed by Dikayl Rimmasch and presented by Nowness. If the visuals look familiar, you’re probably thinking about Jay and Bey’s super trailer for the “On The Run” tour.

“Bang Bang is a trilogy of short films starring Mr and Mrs Carter’s filmic alter egos, appearing throughout their two-and-a-half month long tour, On the Run, which celebrated its finale on Saturday at Stade de France in Paris.” -Nowness.com

“On The Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z” premieres on HBO September 20 as well as an exhibition and screening at Clic Gallery New York on September 19.

In related Carter news, Jay, Bey and Blue were spotted in Paris, France and Blue looked adorbs wearing a top knot bun. There you go hair haters!

Mo’ Nique Asks The Public To Forgive Ray Rice

Former Raven running back Ray Rice fell from the public’s grace after footage of him striking his girlfriend hit TMZ. While most people shunned Rice for the domestic violence incident, others came to his defensive–Academy Award winning actress Mo’Nique was among his supporters.

During an interview on “Good Day LA,” Mo’Nique argued that “every action that we do is forgivable” and spoke about the power of forgiveness.

“A lot of people are saying get rid of him,” she said. “It was horrible what he did and it was. It was tragic for us to see that happen to that young woman… there’s no excuse for that. On the other side of it, there’s the beauty in it because you see this woman saying I’m going to stand by my husband.”

Mo’Nique then differentiated domestic violence from singular physical incidents. “The world saw him at his worst moment…I’ve been there to have my worst moments. There was a time I wanted to say domestic violence. There was a time I did say it. But the truth was we would just fight. And if I would lose, now I’m gonna call the police it’s domestic violence. But if I won, we just had a fight.”

Ultimately, Mo’s message was, “We speak of religion, and we speak of forgiveness but the moment someone messes up we say throw them away and get rid of them…they have to face the world every day…”

Do you agree?

In related NFL news, Carolina Panthers  defensive end Greg Hardy has been deactivated because of a domestic violence incident stemming from an altercation where he allegedly “beat the living crap” out of his ex and threatened to kill her. Bet he thought he breezed by that one.

Monica Slays The National Anthem

This Weekend, friends gathered around the flat screen for hot wings and Doritos just to watch Floyd Mayweather beat Marcos Maidana for a second time. As much as we hate Floyd Mayweather–we weren’t expecting any surprises in the outcome of the match (let’s face it, Floyd is an a**hole, but he’s one hell of an athlete). However, we were surprised to see Monica take to the ring to perform “The Star Spangled-Banner.” And, just in case you forgot Mo don’t play!

She proved just why she is one of the best R&B singers in the game. Peep her performance, above.

Exasperated Kid Meets “Ellen”

Remember that really adorable little boy who expressed his exasperation when he scolded his mother for getting pregnant a third time? Well, Ellen tracked down six-year-old Trey (of course) and interviewed him on the new season of her talk show. “I knew he would be upset,” Trey’s mother revealed. “I didn’t think he would be that mad.”

When Ellen asked little Trey what “exasperated” means, he responded “It means what we’re you thinking, this is not fair.” Ha!

Alicia Keys Performs New Song “We Are Here”

Alicia Keys is pregnant, glowing and prepping new music as she goes through the glorious life transition right before our eyes. The “Girl On Fire” stopped by the “Today Show” to perform her inspirational new track “Why Are We Here” and raise awareness for her social media cause that has celebs like Pharrell and more chiming in.

“I’m feeling so good, really strong and inspired,” the expecting mother said. “I really want this song to be the dialogue that starts to ask ourselves why are we here? What are we here to do? If we can start that dialogue with ourselves then that can start the bigger conversation about how we can actually bring change to the world.”

Keys’ also dished on throwing her hubby Swizz Beatz a swanky “Coming To America”-inspired birthday party.

No One Really Wants To See Iggy Azalea’s Sex Tape, Right?

We’re going to go with no!

In case you missed it, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea allegedly has a sex tape that her ex-boyfriend, Hefe Wine, threatened to release to Vivid Entertainment (the same porn house that released Mimi Faust and Kim Kardashian’s sex tape). Iggy claims she never consented to the tape being recorded and is fighting back–the legal way. Not to mention, she might have been underage at the time!

Hefe contends that he didn’t meat Iggy until she was 18 (how convenient) and that she knew about the tape. Iggy responded to the tape on Twitter:

We’ll see how this one goes.

Kanye West Addresses ‘Wheelchair’ Incident

Who says Kanye West is insensitive? He totally changed his show to incorporate those who are disabled.

This weekend, Kanye came under fire after demanding everyone in the Sydney audience of his “Yeezus” tour stand during his performance. That all sounds very Kanye-like, except, there were two wheelchair bound people in the crowd. Yikes. How he noticed two people sitting down is beyond us, but we’re sure he felt uber embarrassed when he realized why two of his fans weren’t standing.

The “Yeezus” Tour pulled in to Brisbane where Ye’ addressed the scandal.

“Everybody who is not in a wheelchair or handicapped will stand up,” he told the Brisbane audience. “If you can not prove to me that you are in a wheelchair you need to be standing, if you can it is okay to sit down.”

How sweet.
