Beyonce 2014 VMAs Performance
2014 VMAs: Jay Z & Blue Ivy Presented Beyonce With The Video Vanguard Award & We Cried Like Babies
Beyonce ended her performance at the 2014 VMAs with tears streaming down her perfectly contoured cheeks and husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy by her side. And if you’re like us, you too are probably still wiping away tears as well. Bey accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award from the most important people in her life–Jay and Blue– planting a kiss on Jay’s lips then on her daughter (who clapped adorably and said “Yay! Mommy”). In case you didn’t catch the hint, it looks like Jay and Bey are still “Crazy In Love!” So much for those divorce rumors! Moments before the intimate moment, the emotional queen performed a medley of songs off her “Beyonce” album.
Her set began with “Mine” then she transitioned effortlessly between tunes like “Jealous” and “Blow.” “Drunk In Love” sent the audience into a chorus and Blue Ivy into some dance moves. And when it was time to hit the choreography from her highly praised video “Partition,” she didn’t disappoint. She glistened as she twirled around the pole with appeal and precision.
Bey got particularly emotional on “XO,” dedicating the pop-friendly tune to her fans–it marked the end of her stellar 15-minute performance. At the end of the night, Jay Z made it clear, to any unbelievers, that his wife is the “greatest living entertainer.”
