Zane To Write First Aaliyah Movie

From casting changes to production delays, Aaliyah’s Lifetime biopic has gone through more changes than we care to mention. But, it looks like Aaliyah’s story will finally get the Hollywood treatment that many fans Drake has been waiting for.

The Grio reports that author, Zane will write the script for the first feature-length Aaliyah biopic that is slated to be in theaters next year. The Lifetime production will still be released with Alexandra Shipp as Aaliyah, but Zane’s version has reportedly cast B.Simone as the late singer. Terrence Howard and Wood Harris are reportedly co-stars in the film and Aaliyah’s family, specifically Barry Hankerson, her uncle and former manager, has signed on to help with production.

Remember when her family said they were trying to get her story on the big screen? Well, it looks like that’s officially happening. Kudos to them, and knowing how excited we are about “Addicted,” we believe Zane will do a great job.

Adrienne Bailon Squashes Kim K Beef & Responds In The Classiest Way Possible

For those of you who thought Adrienne Bailon would keep quiet after Kim Kardashian’s Twitter comments — and her best friend’s quick chime-in — think again. “The Real” co-host, who claimed in a Latina Magazine interview that the “Kardashian name” tarnished her career, took to Instagram to respond to all of the hoopla. And, we have to admit, it was rather classy.

We hear you, Adrienne, and this case is officially closed!

Did Diamond Have An Affair With Keyshia Cole’s Ex?

Even though Keyshia Cole and Daniel Gibson’s “divorce papers” are a sham, their separation isn’t, and Keyshia doesn’t mind talking about it. The singer who visited The Breakfast Club to promote her new album was open about separating from Boobie, even joking that she would charge him an extra fee for a feature if he went down the Robin Thicke album route. But, the one thing Keyshia didn’t joke about was her dislike for ex-Crime Mob member Diamond.

When Angela Yee brought up the caption that she left under an Instagram picture of Diamond that Angela posted, Keyshia blatantly shaded the Atlanta rapper. “Why would I follow Diamond [on Instagram]…Hey, if you’re smashing the homie, you’re smashing the homie..Don’t be cool with me one day and then when you smash my ex, you don’t want to talk to me no more.” Check out the rest of the interview in the video above.

Diamond then took to Instagram:

And, of course, Keyshia responded:

Can’t women in the industry just keep it together!?

Kerry Washington looks gorgeous after giving birth to baby Isabelle in May (even when she’s not dolled up like this, she still looks great). She stopped by Jimmy Kimmel to dish about her life after having her child and even thanked him for the lovely gift he gave her while she was pregnant: a big ol’ pile of barbecue!

Misty Copeland Inspires Us To Be Everything We Want To Be

Misty Copeland is one of the best ballerinas in the business. She may be the soloist for the American Ballet Theatre now, but that doesn’t mean she forgot about the rejection she received in the beginning of her career.

The athletic apparel company Under Armour tapped Misty to be in a commercial that is part of the company’s female-driven “I Will What I Want” global marketing campaign — they hope to attract more women to their brand. In the beginning of the ad, a young girl is heard narrating one of Misty’s rejection letters. Watch the commercial above and we dare you not to be inspired.
