Drake & Chris Brown Team Up At The ESPYS
The ESPYS (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) may be about highlighting great achievements in sports, but last night they were about Drake, Drake and more Drake! And we loved every minute of it. (Russell Westbrook’s shirt was a bonus).
Drizzy hosted the 2014 ESPYS last night at the Nokia Theater in LA in his best Jerusalem frock and totally stole the show with a series of hilarious skits and songs like “Side Piece” and “Honorable Mention.”
His skit “Drake VS Blake,” that featured a cameo from Chris Brown, was the standout moment of the show. In case you don’t remember, Drake and Chris had that bottle bashing incident at club WiP that resulted in several people being rushed to the hospital. The duo rekindled their relationship post-Rihanna and poked fun at their old rivalry at the ESPYS. Chris, who looked like a member of “The 5 Heartbeats,” even announced himself as America’s sweetheart.
It’s clear that Drizzy’s acting abilities are on par with his rapping skills. Seriously. What can’t Drizzy do?

Poor Apollo, he just can’t catch a break. After being sentenced to eight-years in prison for bank fraud and identity theft, the “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” husband was ordered to pay a $2 million restitution fine to his victims.
According to TMZ, Apollo was ordered to repay Chase Bank $828,300, the IRS $127,011 , Delta Airlines $24,985, the State of California $15,778 , the State of Connecticut $45,525 and the State of Texas $39,275.

The “Temptation” actor announced that his fiance Rebecca Jefferson is expecting, on Instagram, by posting a tasteful nude photo of Jefferson in the elements of nature.
He captioned the photo, “GOD has Gifted me. It’s like I get to unwrap you daily. Your presence continues to bring me joy each time without exhaustion. I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU. I Turned My Camera On @becjefferson :)”
Lance, who has a knack for photography, took the photo himself. In related Lance Gross news, he became the global ambassador for Howard University’s Freshman Leadership Academy.
For his first assignment as the academy’s first ever global ambassador, Lance and 60 students from the program headed to China. While there, the students learned about what methods the Chinese employ in business, education, and leadership. In their down the group also got to take some of the local flavor.

Milian was signed to Young Money records at one point, yet there has been no talk about any forthcoming projects.

If you weren’t a fan of “Hollywood Exes” star Andrea Kelly before, her support for her transgender son will win you over. Andrea, who famously married and divorced R. Kelly, opened up about their transgender son Jay, who recently went public with his decision to move forward in his journey, in a way that makes humanity not seem so bad.
“All I can say about Jay is he makes it so easy to be a proud mom,” she said in a recent interview. “For parents, we need to realize, [our kids] have their own journey. Parents get it wrong when they don’t support their children. They have to go out and fight every day and face this world. The first battle should not be at home. I think that a lot of children in the LGBT community don’t succeed because the one thing they need the most is foundation. I just tell Jay all the time, baby you won the war. You’re gonna have a lot of battles but you won the war. Mama accepts and loves you for who you are. Your family does.”
She added:
My dad is a retired military naval officer and all he said was, “I’m gonna mess up sometimes and [use the feminine pronoun] ‘she’ but I’m gonna eventually get the ‘he’ thing. Just give grandpa some time. I’m gonna get it dude.” That was it.”
R. Kelly was also asked about the situation, in an interview with , where he said during an interview after performing at Chicago WGCI’s Summer Jam.”No matter what they are, who they are, they still your kids. You love them. You have to support them.”

Brandy’s mother Sonja Norwood’s smiled beamed as her daughter Brandy was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority as an honorary member, joining director Ava Duvernay and Senator Z.C. Allyson Maynard Gibson in the AKA’s 66th Boule in Charlotte, NC.
Sonja was originally initiated as an AKA at Southern University’s Beta Psi’s chapter and now Brandy will carry on their legacy.
