Nicki Minaj brought her “Minajesty” to HSN last night bringing with her a new audience of Barbs to the network. The “Pills N Potion” rapper teased fans on Instagram as she got all dolled up for the appearance. Nicki was promoting her new fragrance, “Minajesty Exotic Edition.”
“I am so excited to debut my new fragrance on HSN for the first time,” she said in the official press release. “I adore my fans and want to share this experience in a unique way – live, on TV. I hope this fragrance inspires my Barbz to feel positive and fearless. Every girl loves the thrill of adventure. Exotic to me, represents that crazy feeling you get from taking a risk and getting out of your comfort zone.”
Nicki sold over 5,000 bottles of the scent.
In related female rap news, Azealia Banks was FINALLY let out of her record deal with Universal Music. “IM ABOUT TO GET OUT OF MY DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Banks tweeted on Thursday. “Free at last! … I’m feeling like Miss Celie at the end of [The] Color Purple.”

In today’s “duh” news, Apollo Nida’s co-conspirator Gayla St. Julien, who received 5-years for her involvement in an identity theft and bank fraud scheme, claims Phaedra knew about Apollo’s illegal activities. Julien is currently serving time for her crime and dealing with many issues from her husband filing for divorce to helping her parents raise her autistic son, so she tells MadameNoire in an exclusive interview.
“Well, let me tell you like this. Spouses? When one party is legitimate to a degree, and the other isn’t, there’s NO secret about it” she said. “If you reap the benefit, or get things and money and all the things that come with a lifestyle such as what we had, then I think you should ride with him. But it’s not a secret. Everybody knows that she knew, just like my husband knew. There were benefits that had been reaped and so if you go into a marriage and you know what a person is involved in, and you say ‘Okay, I can deal with it,’ and you take the diamonds, you take the trips, you take the bikes, you take the whatevers–then you take the time too. That should be the way it is. She knew what she was getting into just like my husband knew what he was getting into. If you’re getting into a situation where you don’t know what a person is about, then okay if you feel like you need to walk away, then you walk away. It’s understandable. After snagging two rings, the MVP is trading in his Miami Heat jersey for his old Cleveland Cavaliers get-up.
“My relationship with northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now,” he said in an announcement on Sports Illustrated. “I’m not promising a championship. I know how hard that is to deliver. We’re not ready right now. No way. Of course, I want to win next year, but I’m realistic. It will be a long process, much longer than it was in 2010,” he added.
LeBron made the decision to trade teams four years ago in the highly publicized “decision” that left some Cleveland fans burning jerseys.
He also confirmed that his wife Savannah is having a girl, in the essay:
“I always believed that I’d return to Cleveland and finish my career there. I just didn’t know when. After the season, free agency wasn’t even a thought. But I have two boys and my wife, Savannah, is pregnant with a girl. I started thinking about what it would be like to raise my family in my hometown. I looked at other teams, but I wasn’t going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy.
