Drake Gives Back To Philly High School With New Recording Studio
First, Kevin Hart donated $250,000 to Philadelphia’s financially-struggling school system, and now Drake is doing his part to contribute.
The Young Money rapper recently pledged to build a recording studio inside Strawberry Mansion High School, located in a poor Philadelphia neighborhood with a high crime rate, according to ABC News.

Drake decided to step in after seeing a”World News Tonight” piece about the high school, which is in jeopardy of being shut down due to a high rate of violence.
“I caught this piece that Diane [Sawyer] did. By the end of it I was so heavily affected I started questioning major aspects of my life,” he said during a surprise visit tothe school.

“In the next few months, I’m building a recording studio inside your school,” he told the students. “This about you. This about your principal. This about your future. I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed.”
