Last week we found out Mama Pope lives and this week we see she’s a living crazy person. Still not knowing or fully understanding why she is being held in this facility off the grid we do become more familiar with her maniacal ways as she gnaws through her own arm to get Rowan’s attention. I’m thinking maybe it would have been a good thing if she had been on that plane, she makes me nervous.

Rowan in his attempt to satisfy her desires to see Olivia brings her some press clippings of their daughter’s many accomplishments. In what seems like a reasonable request she asks to see some photos. When Rowan says he can’t produce any, she takes matters into her own hands, killing the doctor assigned to drug her and escaping. They say don’t mess with a woman scorned I’d say it’s even better advice not to stand between a mother and her kids.
UP NEXT: Cyrus Gets Played
While the boss is away the kids will play and when the kids are Cyrus and Mellie you know it will probably go too far. Each of these two scoundrels learned this week to watch what you wish for as their spouses defiled their beds. Once again James is being used as a pawn in the CyMellie Olympics and he’s winning gold. Ever the gullible husband he falls for another one of Cyrus’ ploys and ends up as the bait to catch the Veep’s hubby in all his gay glory. Turns out James is smarter than he looks and ends up pulling a fast one on Cyrus by sending him inappropriate photos of the two having a sexual encounter and it leaves Cy confused and crying.
UP NEXT: Olitz is Back!
Mellie’s husband isn’t the only person dipping and dabbling but he is the only person building houses, fetching his love in a helicopter and promising to take down B613. It had been a while since we witnessed Olitz in a throws of passion love scene and dare I say I missed it? As the usual fervor and lust was present while President Grant and his forbidden love argued about who needed to be protected more, hurling spitfire aggression toward one another.
But the two were instantly reminded of their deep love when Fitz announced to Olivia, after he had gone on and on about the elaborate cabin, that the place they were standing was the home he had built especially for them. In those moments as Olivia stood in shock we recalled why we fell for these two in the first place. No matter how much time apart or how hard to get Olivia tries to play, she always finds herself back in Fitz’s arms.
UP NEXT: Baby Huck’s Still Scheming
As the team continues trying to find its way through the trail of confusion surrounding Olivia’s mother’s death, once again Quinn is in a pile of you know what. With the crew getting closer to discovering who it was that killed their only eyewitness; the security guard. She attempts to take matters into her own hands by trying to locate the security tapes after Huck announces that the building is closely watched and the cameras should reveal the killer. On pins and needles Baby Huckster pulls out her gun on her handler/boyfriend just fold underneath the caress of his hand to her cheek. By the end of the episode even though she thinks OPA is off of her trail, the resident spy genius turns up at her house, torture kit in tow because what? Huck figured out it’s her.
UP NEXT: Liv Loses a Client
Amidst the hunt for the security guard killer and the game of “Clue”: Mama Pope edition, the associates of OPA have lost a client due to her meddling daughter who once thought she was her sister. Josie Marcus, needs Liv to work her “fix it” magic when unbeknownst to her Candice decides to take campaign matters into her own hands. By staging a robbery and accusing Governor Reston’s team of taking their computers she earns herself a visit from Harrison, and he’s using his “scary” voice. In her innocence and naivety about what running for President really involves, Senator Marcus believes the theft and is pleased when Reston is presumably caught. However in the end word leaks from Abby’s lawyer boyfriend that it was all a set up. Just like that, Josie Marcus is out of the race and President Grant is all too pleased.
Next week it looks like Quinn is getting the full Huck treatment, Liv’s Mom is on the run from her father, and things are turning for Fitz and Mellie? We shall see, don’t forget Scandal will return to air, Dec 2.
