“Love & Hip Hop” NY was once the step child to VH1’s super successful Atlanta season, but now with a love triangle that supersedes Stevie J’s, the Big Apple is shining brightly. Last night the drama amped up and wigs were snatched, faces were slapped (we mean that quite literally) and the men were confronted for trifiling ways. Peter Gunz Reveals Affair To Tara
“L&HH” kicked off precisely where it left off: with Peter Gunz promising to tell Tara, the mother of his children who he was living with, that he had married his artist Amina. Peter issued an emergency text to Tara asking her to meet up with him. She immediately obliged and met Gunz at Platinum Studios.
Just above a whisper, Peter revealed that he messed up. He admitted that he had been messing with Amina “a little bit” and when Tara asked for how long, he responded “What difference does it make?” Tara’s anger grew when he divulged that he and Amina had been sleeping together for a while. Oddly, he then placed the blame on Tara claiming she had a hand in his infidelities because they were arguing. Tara refused to accept that it was her fault, as she shouldn’t.
She attacked Peter, slapping him so much he begged her to “stop hitting.” Tara told him how loyal she hadn’t slept with anyone else in 13 years and he was too busy having sex with his artist to realize all she was doing for their family. Tara exited with a bang, pushing his guitar off the counter and claiming the instrument and Amina was all he cared about. What Peter failed to mention is that he wasn’t just “messing” with Amina but he had married her. No worries, it would soon come out.
Nya Lee vs. Erica Mena
Nya Lee is an up-and-coming rapper who just so happens to be a stripper and after years of sliding down the pole she’s ready to pursue her other ventures full-time.
Lee has collaborated with Jadakiss, opened for Kendrick Lamar and hangs with respected lyricists like her cast member Joe Budden who gave her some key advice this season: don’t work with Erica Mena. Too bad Nya had already agreed to do a song with the Latina model and vowed to keep her word.
Erica’s been working at her own career but as we saw last night, she hasn’t been giving it the focus it needs. When Nya called her out for not giving her all, the two bump heads. Erica went into defense mode and questioned the validity of Nya’s career which lead to a full blown argument. After going back and forth over whose songs are more mediocre, the ladies decided to abandon their project and severed ties. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing…

Introducing Cyn
Erica Mena wants us to believe that Cyn Santana, the equally buxom Latina that was introduced to the scene last night, is really her girlfriend and they’re in a serious relationship.
Erica takes her lady love on a serious date, opting for a classy restaurant rather than Cyn’s favorite spot: Chipotle. It was almost laughable watching Mena blush as she and Cyn awkwardly conversed over boobs and more boobs. Are you buying this as the real thing?
Finally date night ended and Erica made a beeline to her old boyfriend and partner, Rich, to try to rekindle their business. After all, before things turned sour between the two of them, Erica and Rich were making that money together and that’s all that anyone on “Love & Hip Hop” cares about. Erica and Rich decided to become a duo again, but this time, they vow to keep it platonic. As we’ve seen in this season’s super trailer, it doesn’t stay that way….
Joe Budden Slips Up
Sometimes, Joe Budden can act like one of the dumbest men on the planet.
Tahiry went out of town for three days and when she came back to her boo’s apartment (that she considers “theirs”) she found a hair on the bed that didn’t belong to her. After confronting Joe about it, he revealed that he had a “friend” over, and even though the woman was on the bed, nothing happened. As if Tahiry’s supposed to believe that?
She quickly realizes Joey has changed the sheets and that the pillow cases are missing. He tries to explain that he changed the sheets because they’re dirty. Dirty with what? Foundation. Tahiry stormed off when she realized another woman had made her mark on in the apartment and it looks like Joe Budden hasn’t changed.
Tara Snatches Amina’s Buddafly
Before the episode really got good, we spent a moment getting updated on Saigon’s situation. The rapper asked his baby’s mother , Erica, to have her son take a paternity test to prove that he was indeed the father, in the hopes that it would help settle things between them. Saigon presented Erica with a home kit and informed her that the results would in circa his birthday party that she and the baby are invited to. If only Mona Scott-Young would call in Maury to deliver those results!
Meanwhile, Yandy Smith and Rich Dollaz met up with Amina at her show to finish talking about potentially signing her to their new joint label. Yandy wasn’t feeling Amina after she found she was Peter’s side chick because Tara (Peter’s baby mama) is her friend. During the meeting a dumbfounded Amina didn’t catch on to all the shots Yandy was throwing her way including the biggest one of all: if you’re a star “why would you play the side?” Of course at that moment, Tara popped up at the show and sat down beside Yandy to have the much needed woman-to-woman chat with Amina.
Amina claimed she didn’t know about Tara and that Peter told her he was just stating with her for the kids. Tara wasn’t buying that weak excuse and made a good point: “Use common sense.” Did Amina really think Tara and Peter were in a roommate situation?
Things got heated fast and when Tara called Amina an “outlet” for Peter and questioned the rappers love for her. Amina insisted she had proof that she was, indeed, The One. “Give it to me,” Tara demanded and Amina slapped a marriage certificate on the table! Woo chile, I could have died. Tara calmly stood up and then proceeded to kick Amina’s silly side chick a**. Security broke it up but not before Tara cocked back and landed a hard blow right to Amina’s face. Yassss hunty, you got that one, off!
