Angela Lansbury Throws Shade At Octavia Spencer’s TV Reboot

We’re super excited for “The Help” star, Octavia Spencer’s new role in the NBC remake of “Murder She Wrote,” but guess who isn’t? Angela Lansbury. Yes, the original star of the classic mystery series is none too pleased with the reboot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Angela said, “I think it’s a mistake to call it ‘Murder, She Wrote’ because ‘Murder, She Wrote’ will always be about Cabot Cove and this wonderful little group of people who told those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place, and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a rare and very individual kind of person. … So I’m sorry that they have to use the title ‘Murder, She Wrote,’ even though they have access to it and it’s their right.”

But not to worry, even if Angela doesn’t want to see a redo of the show that made her famous, she does think Octavia’s got skills enough to play a maid. “I saw her in ‘The Help’ and thought she was absolutely wonderful, a lovely actress,” Lansbury said. “So I wish her well, but I wish it wasn’t in ‘Murder, She Wrote.'” SHADY BOOTS!

Kanye West’s Popularity Plummets

Even though I’m loving Kim Kardashian as a mother and the love of Kanye West’s life, new reports suggest that she’s hurting his image.

Yeezy’s likability ratings have recently plummeted by a staggering 66 percent, according to the influential Q scores, a closely watched measure of recognition and popularity that marketers use to evaluate celebrities’ appeal. The National Inquirer reports that before Yeezy started dating Kim publicly in April 2012, his score was high — a 17 among women aged 18-49 and that number is now at a tiny little three.

We’re not scientists over here, but maybe it was Kanye’s paparazzi attacks, his many, many confusing rants or even his choice to sell Confederate flag T-shirts during his “Yeezus” tour that did it?  Who knows. Whatever the reason, the public is no longer feeling Kanye like they used to.

Ginuwine’s Epic Twitter Fail

Ginuwine took to Twitter over the weekend to offer love advice to his fans. The result was a series of weird, misspelled Tweets with awkward grammar….that ended up being downright hilarious. They have since been deleted, but not before Madame Noire scored the screenshots:

Spike Lee Doesn’t “Do The Right Thing”

Spike Lee was outraged over the killing of unarmed Florida teen, Trayvon Martin, at the hands of neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman. So much so, the “Red Hook Summer” director Tweeted out what he thought was Zimmerman’s address, back in March.  Well, the address he shared with over a half million of his followers actually belonged to elderly couple David and Elaine McClain, who had nothing to do with the incident.  The couple is now now suing Lee with claims that he’s put their lives in grave danger.

TMZ reports that in the lawsuit, the McClains say they received numerous death threats and hate mail and feared for their lives as their address was re-Tweeted countless times. SMH. I understand being upset about this tragedy, but to Tweet someone’s personal address when you have as much influence as SPIKE LEE is just irresponsible. We’ll keep you posted with what the couple wins.

Future Shares Why He’s All The Way In Love With Ciara

I am so in love with Ciara and Future’s romance. The two lovebirds have recently gotten engaged and they just can’t stop gushing over one another.

Ciara recently stated, “It feels so great to be with someone who’s like, your best friend. I can almost cry talking about it now because every time I think about it, it really kicks in, but I feel so happy. I really do. I’m just very proud. But she’s not alone. Future recently revealed to The Rickey Smiley Morning Show why he loves the “Body Party” songstress:

“Man, her personality. Even with being at the concert [the other day], I had my kids, I had my kids moms and she just catered to everybody. Just showing everyone hospitality. I mean you can’t get a girl that  just get along with your kids moms and get along with your mom that can just mingle with your family and bringing everybody together and just want that to happen. Sometimes they just want to beef and bring or split everybody apart. But she’s the kind of person she want everyone in the same room.”

That’s a real woman. You call the kids and you check up on them. We’ll bring them over and want to spend time with them. Sometimes when you already have kids before you’re in a relationship, a girl that just like despise your kids don’t even want them around. They’re jealous of your kids. She never showed that trait before.”

Having your current boo get along with your past boo/mother of your kids is sometimes a sticky situation. It’s refreshing to know that Ciara’s being a grown woman about her circumstances of being Future’s future wife. We wish Ciara and Future all the best!
