The IHEARTRADIO two-day music festival took place in Vegas this weekend and the who’s who of entertainers showed up to hit the stage. The weekend extravaganza packed many surprises and was littered with awkward moments (like Miley Cyrus’ performance with a twerking little person and decorative nipple coverings). On a lighter note, Danity Kane returned to the stage and Drake paid the ultimate homage to Jaden Smith.
Couldn’t book a flight to sin city? Neither could we…
Check out the performances you missed and thank us later!
Miley Cyrus
The last time we saw Miley Cryus, she was riding a wrecking ball and licking a sledge hammer, all to later be explained as her artistic expression of her failed engagement to Liam Hemsworth. All this after twerking on Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs.
Miley was introduced by Britney Spears only to be upstaged by a little twerking person with curves like a Black woman. Cyrus donned pasties underneath a white mesh dress that was topped off by furry arm-things.
There was a moment of seriousness, when she performed her song “Wrecking Ball.” Miley teared up and grew very emotional while singing the lyrics. Check it out, below:
“Wrecking Ball”
She later posed for a pic with the Kadashian’s
Justin Timberlake
Day 2 of IHeartRadio Fest ended with Justin Timberlake. Not only did he perform his new single “TKO,” JT debuted two new songs off “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2” (due Sept. 30) including “True Blood” and “Only When I Walk Away.”
Drake
Preparing for the release of his highly anticipated album “Nothing Was The Same,” Drizzy hit the stage to perform some of his classics, including some of his new joints like “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” Drizzy also debuted his shirt of Jaden Smith’s face at the 2013 VMAs. Jaden is somewhere crying right now, we bet.
Check out his performance:
Danity Kane
Our second (maybe third) favorite girl group Danity Kane hit some of their former songs, including “Damaged” which they performed acapella.
Robin Thicke
What would an end of summer concert be without this year’s summer anthem and the man who created it. Robin Thicke had the crowd going bananas when he performed “Blurred Lines.”
Chris Brown
Chris Brown hit the stage to perform his infectious song “Fine China.” Too bad he left his vocals at home. Great dancer though.
Katy Perry Ft. Juicy J
When Juicy J isn’t giving away scholarships for twerking, he’s recording music with Katy Perry, who called him out onstage to join her in performing their new song.
J. Cole
Surprise! Rapper J. Cole brought out Chilli and T-Boz of TLC to help him perform his very “Unpretty”-like song “Crooked Smile.” He was later joined by Miguel to perform their hit song “Power Trip.”
