Marissa Webb Spring 2014 Runway Show Review
Best Of Show: 6 Electrifying Looks From Marissa Webb That You’ll Want This Winter
One of the great joys of fashion week is following a designer from the beginning of their careers. Marissa Webb, formerly with J. Crew, showcased her third collection before a crowd of eager fashion enthusiasts. But her Spring/Summer 2014 women’s collection debuted not only under the glorious tents of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but via the runway for the first time.
This collection focused on “the exploration of hard and soft, masculine verse feminine” and at every moment screamed Marissa’s own personal style. I was delighted to watch this show as rich Italian fabrics and luxe silks topped with exotic fine jewelry from Yael Sonia FIne Jewelry cascaded effortlessly down the catwalk.
I’m not sure which I loved best–the neon loose-fitting blouses, or the bright rouge cocktail numbers! Either way I feel in love with Marissa, all over again, and I am honestly excited to see more from her. KUDOS!
