Welp. We knew it was coming. Someone was bound to find something wrong with either Beyonce or her performance of the national anthem at the 2013 Inauguration yesterday. A spokesperson for the U.S. Marine Corp Band revealed to TMZ, that Beyonce “mouthed the words to a pre-recorded studio version of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner.'” But! Before this charade goes any further, let us be the one to tell you that it is standard to artists like Beyonce to sing over a “back track” especially when it’s an event as massive as the the presidential inauguration!
“We all know Beyonce can sing … We don’t know why she chose to use the pre-recorded track,” the rep added.
