Ricky Martin Cried Like A Baby After Coming Out The Closet
Ricky welcomed cameras to his home for a candid portrait of his happy family home life for his interview with Oprah, in which he talks about his sons and his sexuality for the first time. He tells Oprah in the show which will air tomorrow on the day he sent out an e-mail announcing, “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man,” Martin says he first felt “numb” and then “relieved.”
Then, he said, the magnitude of what he’d done hit him.
“When I realized, okay, I just pressed send, whoo … I was alone,” Martin, 38, says. “I was in my studio alone for a minute. My assistant walked in and I just started crying like a little baby. I started crying.”
The singer had previously refused to comment on speculation that he was gay, saying: ‘I don’t think I should say whether I’m gay or not, or who I’ve slept with or not.’
